Listen to God

God is strong, I am weak.

Everyday God is who I seek.

In times of trouble he comes to me.

 

I listen to God when I hurt.

Why? He is the expert.

His words of wisdom I believe.

 

I open my heart and let him in.

It does not matter to Him where I have been.

God says it is okay.

 

My life has been full of hardship.

I ask God for his will and friendship.

Respect God, get on your knees and pray.

 

Sometimes Lord, I feel I have lost control.

Now I know you saved my soul.

Lord I come to you . . . . I concede.

 

Lord you are in my life that is a guarantee.

With out you it would be so easy to flee.

Because of you I will succeed.

Lord Break Me

Lord, give me the desire.

The fire burns deep within.

I know what you require.

Please take away my sin.

 

I reach to you O'God from the heavens,

What do you ask of me?

Lead me to what you want me to be.

The Holy Spirit is strong in me.

 

I know what direction I need to go.

The Holy Spirit will help me grow.

My prayers are getting longer.

My heart is getting stronger.

 

I am going to be reborn again.

The Lord in my life removes the sin.

It does not matter where I have been.

I love you Lord, together we will win.

 

Lord break me,

That is what I need.

My way is not God's way,

That is what I hear when I pray.

 

The Holy Spirit is the leader.

Keep in step with Him.

Follow him wherever he goes.

He will take away your sin.

 

Lord, there will be a time when you take me away.

I am so grateful that you let me pray.

My soul cries tears

Lord, I breathe you everyday.

Your love fills my heart when I pray.

I yearn for your everlasting presents in me.

My soul cries tears because I believe!

 

Listen to what everybody is saying.

Get on your knees and start praying.

Praise the Lord our Glorious King!

Clap your hands and sing!

 

Soon my life will change even more.

The Lord will be in my heart completely for evermore.

Jesus Christ my Savior who I adore.

My loves grows for you more and more.

 

All I want is somebody who cares.

Lord, look over me so everybody can say their prayers

Thank you God, for setting me free.

Praise the Lord watch over me.

 

Lord you have taken me

and set me free.

You tell me what I need to hear

and then you take away my fear.

 

God Says, "So many people do not know me,

And that is very sad.

Just keep talking and writing,

I will use you as my launch pad."

Lord, where are you taking me?

No answers to my questions.

No solutions to my problems.

The Answers came from the resurrection

No longer do I have any hesitation.

 

If I die today,

I know where I am going.

The Lord's place,

So grateful for his grace.

 

No longer can I say

I do not know him.

I do nothing but pray.

He forgives me of my sin.

 

Thank you Lord for letting me go.

To a place, I have never been before.

I feel your blessings all of the time.

I am yours and you are mine.

 

Lord, where are you taking me?

I often wonder where I am going.

Now I have an identity,

Nothing but Serenity.

 

You give me peace.

A sense of well being.

Your Law is a masterpiece.

Compassion is what you bring.

 

Listen to the Lord,

If it is God's will,

Sometimes during the day

I have an emptiness.

Then I look to the sky and pray,

Then I have happiness.

 

God, with you in my life,

I have such a peace about my self.

I never have to say goodnight.

Everything in my life feels so right.

 

It is amazing what has been happening to me.

I look at people and smile.

I does not matter how I feel,

My smile is for real.

 

I always get a smile back

And that tells me where I am at.

This is God working in my life.

This is one way he keeps me on track.

 

Say hello to everybody.

It does not matter if they are nobody.

What Would Jesus Do?

He would say hello, How are you.

 

Jesus, give me wings.

I want to learn how to sing.

One more way to praise you.

That is all I want to do!

 

I want to hold my hands

High above my head,

And praise you Lord as much as I can.

I cannot do it alone; I am just a common man.

 

On my own, I wanted to do good.

On my own, with out God, I could not.

Now I am member of the brotherhood.

God is what I need for abundant Livelihood.

Glory to God

We all came from the same place.

We should all worship the same face

You are mightier than the mountains

It is you O'God who we embrace.

 

Who else can provide us with salvation?

But our Lord, the king of every nation

You have given us confidence,

You have spared no expense.

 

Never have we known,

Such a forgiven heart.

For years my heart has been in pieces.

You put it back together and given me a new start.

 

Give glory to God in the Heavens

And on the Earth.

Your Son died on the Cross,

It gave us a chance at re-birth.

 

Sometimes Lord we can feel you,

So far away, so near.

You calm our spirit

and remove our fear.

 

You give us hope

And nothing but the truth.

Can we ever express

Our gratefulness.

 

We look to you

For what you can do.

Your everlasting presences

A Touch of Peace.

I found the Lord.

He washed away my sin.

Do you know what that is like?

To be free again.

 

My faith is strong

However, I can still do wrong.

Stay in God's will,

He presence is so unreal.

 

What is this feeling that has come over me?

A Touch of peace.

A Touch of calmness.

Tell me Lord what you want me to see.

 

I want to fly Lord, tell me the way.

He Said, "Look to me in the Heavens and pray."

Lord allow me to spread my wings.

Praise the Lord, teach me to sing.

 

On the Darkest nights when I am alone.

It is your light that is shown.

It could be dark where I am at.

You still let me lay my head in your lap.

 

Lord, you are everywhere to me.

When I get on my knees, it is you I see.

No longer do I believe that this is all a fantasy.

I don’t understand

Sometimes I don't understand your way,

Everybody says to understand you must pray.

God will see you through this pain

What I must do is get on the Lord's train.

 

It will take me where I need to go,

While I travel I will do nothing but grow.

Do not get off where it stops.

Unless where you are is at the top.

 

You don't have to have a ticket for this ride.

Listen to God he will keep you in stride.

He will let you put your pride aside.

Lord I give you my life and relinquish my pride.

 

Lord save me from myself.

Give me all your wealth.

So I can cry glory to You.

That way everything I know is true.

 

God it feels good when you give me courage.

But sometimes I am still afraid.

Lord may your Grace stay with me forever.

The Lord Guides Me

The Heavens rejoice,

When we praise God's voice.

He sometimes speaks to us when we are asleep,

And he speaks to us when we are glad or weep.

 

Sometimes I have been touched by his hand.

The Lord of all the Earth is so Grand.

There is only one thing that could have touched me.

The hand of God is the only thing it could be.

 

No matter what, you cannot escape him.

He is everywhere, even when we are in sin.

He sent his Son to die for us.

His name is Jesus.

 

The Lord guides me in the words I say.

Oftentimes I feel that you are waiting for me to pray.

Many times my prayers feel not worthy or weak,

But it does not matter to you; at least that is what I think.

 

When I look at the problems in the world today.

I ask God, what should I say?

He says, "Believe in me, trust my word,

Don't believe the bad things you might have heard."

 

He says, "Good things happen to those who trust in me,

Love, Trust and Peace that is what you will see."

The Lord's word is the law to live,

When you listen it will allow you to give.

 

They see how happy I am and how much I glow.

I guarantee I am not putting on a show.

I have the most peace when I have God's grace.

Friends can tell because I have a smile on my face

The Witness

With the touch of God's hand,

Now I understand.

I look at what I lost.

That's okay because of the cross.

 

Jesus died so I could live.

His life gave me the opportunity to give.

So many people to witness to.

This is something that I could never overdo.

 

I will try to help everybody I can,

Every woman, every child, every man.

Spreading God's word is what I can do,

If one person listens, what a breakthrough.

 

I know if I die today.

There is only one place I will go.

I will see God at the Pearly Gates,

He will say, "I have been waiting, and this is the way."

 

It doesn't mater who you are or where you have been,

Look to the inside and reach deep within.

Praise the Heavens and speak God's word,

I assure you nothing will go unheard.

Keep me Steadfast

I have lost something that WAS dear to me.

God willing it was meant to be.

Am I better off now? Only God knows.

In my heart I believe this to be so.

 

As I wait patiently for my Princess

I will not settle for anything less

I know as long as I worship and praise you,

My choice will be true.

 

There is someone else for me.

Only God knows who it is meant to be.

I must have patience and lots of prayer

Only God knows if that person is out there.

 

Keep me steadfast and true.

I will do everything to watch for you.

Everything about me wants to learn.

Sometimes your word is hard to discern.

 

So when I study you in my quite time,

I have found it to be my favorite pastime.

Does not matter if it is morning or bedtime.

When I study your word everything is sublime

You Are The Catalyst

 

The proud father of all mankind.

Sometimes we look and still do not find.

Does not matter, Your truth will always be the same.

As long as I believe I will never have any shame.

 

Your Everlasting presence is so majestic to me.

The Lord our God will always be.

Nothing in my life has been consistent.

Now I have the Lord . . . . He gives me assistance.

 

Lord you are the catalyst to my well-being.

God with out you I could not learn anything.

I exalt you O God in everything you say.

As long as I praise, never fade away.

 

When my anger arises it can give me an attitude.

Open the Bible read the Beatitudes

The eight principles help me grow.

The King's word gives me hope.

 

I wonder when my time finally comes.

What will you say to me?

"I have been waiting so long

Come to me this is where you belong."

Tears from Jesus

 

You are my Guardian take care of me.

Lord I look for your Salvation.

Perfect in God’s Mind

I cannot get you out of my mind.

I think of you through life's daily grind.

Everyday I look for answers that are hard to find.

I must listen to God for he is the Mastermind.

 

He will tell us.

Live like Jesus.

He walked in a straight line,

Perfect in God's mind.

 

I want you in my life so much.

When I don't pray I get out of touch.

Having you for one day is better than not at all.

When I don't have you, I feel so small.

 

Bless these words that I write for you.

That is something you already knew.

Speak to me, what should I say?

Count your blessings and begin to pray.

 

Lord it is so hard for me to believe,

So many people care for me.

I see it everyday,

In everyway.

 

Your presence is felt in everyone you put before me.

You speak to me through their Heart.

Lord just keep talking,

Not in my time

My amazing God who I look for,

He gives me security and so much more.

You lift me up, let me fall and then humble me,

Your love stretches out like the branches of a tree.

 

I find myself looking for answers.

I wait so patiently for them to come.

I know He will tell me in his time,

But not in my time.

 

Lord, sometimes I feel I am down to my last choice,

That is when I here your voice.

You say, "It will be all right my son,

Your life has just begun."

 

I feel so close to you nothing could pry us apart.

That is when you give me the heart to heart.

You say, "Son you have done things wrong but that is okay,

I forgive you, just keep believing in me and pray."

 

Lord I have so many things to be grateful for.

My life has changed more than ever before.

Lord you are my Mentor,

I Shall not ignore

 

I have not reached every milestone,

I will be giving my testimony to the microphone.

The other will be washing away my sins.

That is one place I have never been.

 

I am ready for the blood of Jesus Christ to flow over me.

Being baptized is what needs to be.

I have been praying about this for weeks.

It is time . . . . . God speaks

Your Word set me Free

Your Words Set Me Free

 

God I ask you to train my mind.

To think the way you do, is sometimes hard to find.

I have to search deep and let my will go.

Otherwise, I have no chance to grow.

 

I am so happy at what I have become.

I am a child of God . . . . We are one.

Once in my life I was all alone.

One day I will be with you at your throne.

 

My relationship with Jesus Christ will never end.

No matter where I have been, He is just around the bend.

When I call for him, he answers me.

Jesus, your words set me free.

 

I look to the heavens and see your ability.

You give me peace and pure tranquility.

Your handiwork is seen everywhere I go.

God you always put on an awesome show.

 

It is difficult to let you calm my storm inside.

I have lived so long with all of my pride.

In the past I felt that I had so much rage.

The anger made it difficult to gauge.

 

Jesus, you have calmed my mind . . . . . soothed my heart.

Re-kindled my love from the start.

You have given me a future for me to see.

Jesus, I can't believe you died for everyone, including me.

 

Jesus, as I write this poem, it makes me cry.

What you did makes me sigh.

To give your life, so long ago.

Allows everybody on Earth to live and grow.

Chapter 2 - God shines on Me

God shines on me

 

I wait for the storm to fade away.

That is something I look forward to everyday.

Some days are harder than others,

Those are the days I feel smothered.

 

My worst day today,

Is better than my best day before I found the Lord.

The Lord will fulfill his purpose in me,

When I gaze to the Heavens that is what I see.

 

Certain times during the day,

I feel God shines on me in everyway.

He lets me witness through my voice,

But if you don't listen it is your choice.

 

Lord my strength comes from small group.

Your presence there helps me to regroup.

When I hurt, my friends pray for me.

Lord your strength in our group is easy to see.

 

Lord I see how powerful prayer can be.

I have seen first hand what it did for me.

The magic of prayer is so strong.

When I am in prayer nothing seems to go wrong.

 

They all prayed for me the other night

They all knew I had been having an awful fight.

They gathered and prayed because of their confidence in you.

Strength in numbers with God in the room . . . . What a breakthrough.

 

Lord I look for your Love to stand firm.

I don't need it to be short term.

Lord I look to you to protect my heart.

At the same time always be my counterpart.

 

Lord you fill my heart full of grace.

This always happens when I pray in your place.

All I need is time alone with you.

I look forward to the time when we finally rendezvous

Have you been there?

Have you been there?

 

Do you ever wonder if where you have been is a sin?

Ask yourself, would Jesus have followed you in?

You have been there............and you know,

When you go there, that is when you cease to grow.

 

Remember there is no temptation that you cannot overcome.

God gives you the strength and then some.

All temptations are common to man,

That is why he gives you the ability to stand.

Cor. 10:13

 

Many have had the Lord and lost him.

Mostly because they gave in to sin

Some do not understand that what they did today,

Is in the past because God's grace makes it okay.

 

My gracious Father whom I love so much

I hate it when I get so out of touch.

I have only known you for a short while.

So when I do drift a way it is like a forever mile.

 

So many people in the world don't believe.

That when we reach out, you will always be there to receive.,

You give us your blessings and your gracious touch,

We always know in our Hearts that we love you so much.

 

It is comforting to know that when I go,

You will always be there to let your love flow.

Lord my destiny lies with your only son.

Everybody knows he is the one!

Fortress of Solitude

 

I was lost for so long.

So full of confusion.

I knew I needed You,

But was not sure what to do.

 

You are the rock and the salvation,

For every person in every nation.

You are our Fortress of Solitude,

We will never be able to express enough gratitude.

 

Lord, You are the magnificent one.

It's hard to believe You gave your only Son

Could you imagine dying so someone else could live?

This act of courage has allowed me to forgive.

 

If your life is full of sorrow.

Live today like there is no tomorrow,

We do not know what God has in-store for us,

Live your life to the fullest, just like Jesus.

 

Someday I will know Jesus as well as he knows me,

One day I will walk where he walks you'll see.

With the soft touch of his hand,

It makes it easier to make a stand.

 

Believe in what You believe,

Reach out to God and you will receive.

Everything in this world is just a formality,

The Son of God Jesus Christ is reality.

The Truth never ends

God is the truth that will never end.

Even when the road that you are on takes a huge bend,

Never give up on your faith that is a must,

Always remember there is only one God you can trust!

 

Lord when I do my will,

My life seems to stand still.

I never know what path I am going to take or where I am going to go,

It is in this direction that my actions will not let me grow.

 

Please Lord do not let my soul fall through the crack.

I will do what ever it takes to keep everything on track.

I will glorify you, by the way that I carry my heart.

Thank you Lord for allowing me to soar in your Kingdom from the start.

 

My Father so many times I have needed to lean on you.

Father, you are always there, always listening that is what you do.

You have always had plenty of compassion and love to spare.

Not Knowing what to expect

911

We all got up that morning not knowing what to expect,
Some of us watched the sun rise on the redwood deck.
Just a normal day Praise God not much to say,
I got on my knees and do what I do...........Pray

Then the call came, did you hear?
I could tell the voice on the other end was full of fear.
The World Trade Center was hit by a jet plane,
I thought to myself, how insane.

Then I heard the cries through out the land,
There was nothing I could do, I just raised my hand.
I looked to the sky and asked why?
The evil that was upon us just made me cry.

Thousands died as I watched the news unfold
What a terrible story that was being told.
Things always happen for a reason,
Now the world has entered a new season.

God said, “Had you been in the towers that fateful day,
Would you have gotten on your knees and looked to Me to pray?
Not everyone wants to know Me that was hard to see,
Do not ever ignore Me; because I am here............believe in me.”

“I knew everyone that perished that day,
A lot of them died with nothing to say.
I reached my hand out for them to grab,
They did not know me...............it made me sad.”

“Don’t wait till it is too late,
Seek me out always and never suffer the fate.
Don’t die without knowing me,
I am everything you need, come to me and see.”

We look for you Lord everywhere and everyplace
We have found You what a saving grace.
Now that we know You Lord, You have opened the door,
To a life of great abundance and much more.

Dear God

Dear God, the most awesome thing You could have done,
Was to send to us Jesus Christ your Son.
You allowed Him to die on the cross for me,
Today this is all I believe.

Lord I need help with my decision-making.
All your advice is there for the taking.
It is so easy to talk the talk.
But for me to get to Heaven I must walk the walk.

For so long I felt like nothing,
But to you I was always something.
I always knew I was a Diamond in the rough,
But getting where I am today was extremely tough.

My heart was chiseled with a different kind of beat.
It was hard like a rock . . . . . . . . and incomplete.
I knew that I would eventually find you.
And when I did I became true.

Steer me in the direction you want me to go.
God You have everything I want to know.
Often there are times when I feel so blessed.
This is when I feel the least stressed.

Lord I have seen the magic You have worked in my life.
I have no regrets losing my wife.

What I have gained knowing You is far more better,
Your wisdom and will is what brought us together


God doesn’t close one door without opening another
It is easy to see there is no other
Lord I have You now for tomorrow and today.
It is my belief You are the only way.
