Not Knowing what to expect

We all got up that morning not knowing what to expect,
Some of us watched the sun rise on the redwood deck.
Just a normal day Praise God not much to say,
I got on my knees and do what I do...........Pray

Then the call came, did you hear?
I could tell the voice on the other end was full of fear.
The World Trade Center was hit by a jet plane,
I thought to myself, how insane.

Then I heard the cries through out the land,
There was nothing I could do, I just raised my hand.
I looked to the sky and asked why?
The evil that was upon us just made me cry.

Thousands died as I watched the news unfold
What a terrible story that was being told.
Things always happen for a reason,
Now the world has entered a new season.

God said, “Had you been in the towers that fateful day,
Would you have gotten on your knees and looked to Me to pray?
Not everyone wants to know Me that was hard to see,
Do not ever ignore Me; because I am here............believe in me.”

“I knew everyone that perished that day,
A lot of them died with nothing to say.
I reached my hand out for them to grab,
They did not know me...............it made me sad.”

“Don’t wait till it is too late,
Seek me out always and never suffer the fate.
Don’t die without knowing me,
I am everything you need, come to me and see.”

We look for you Lord everywhere and everyplace
We have found You what a saving grace.
Now that we know You Lord, You have opened the door,
To a life of great abundance and much more.
