Keep me Steadfast

I have lost something that WAS dear to me.

God willing it was meant to be.

Am I better off now? Only God knows.

In my heart I believe this to be so.

 

As I wait patiently for my Princess

I will not settle for anything less

I know as long as I worship and praise you,

My choice will be true.

 

There is someone else for me.

Only God knows who it is meant to be.

I must have patience and lots of prayer

Only God knows if that person is out there.

 

Keep me steadfast and true.

I will do everything to watch for you.

Everything about me wants to learn.

Sometimes your word is hard to discern.

 

So when I study you in my quite time,

I have found it to be my favorite pastime.

Does not matter if it is morning or bedtime.

When I study your word everything is sublime
