Constant Pursuit chapter 6

Constant Pursuit

Lord, You are in constant pursuit of me.

Sometimes I want to hide don't You see?

I do not know what I am afraid of.

All You want to do is give me Your love.

Sometimes that is hard to understand,

Why You would love every women and man.

However, You do, that is what I see.

I know Lord what You want me to be.

I am to be rightous.

Thanks to Your Holiness.

Your love O'Lord allows me to stand tall.

Your love O'Lord is mightier than all.

Lord, I breathe You in,

No matter where I have been.

Thank you Lord, All I need is third place.

That comes from your saving grace.

Lord, I know You are first.

I know the other person is second.

And I know, I am Third!

That is the word.

Chapter 6 Are we too busy

Are we too busy

Jesus, You are not just another man.

You are the Savior, We all understand.

With You Lord, we do not have to be alone.

Your love has constantly shown.

Are we to busy,

To walk with the Lord.

Is your life a mess?

Is your life full of stress?

Lord, reveal Yourself to us.

You did by sending Your Son Jesus.

You come to us in our everyday lives

Jesus You are the answer You are so wise.

Lord, we believe we know,

We cannot come to You,

Except through Your Son.

We all know this is true.

We know You love the world,

Because You gave your only Son.

Those that know him,

Will be forgiven of their sin.

Those of you that believe in him,

Know you will not perish.

You will have eternal life.

It is You lord Jesus that we will always cherish.

Because of You,

We can be recreated.

It is through water and spirit,

That we become a new creation, this is true.

Jesus, we want Your Salvation.

We want everything You have to offer.

Have You been convicted in your heart?

If you have, then you and Jesus will never be apart!

Chpt 6 Acknowledge Him

Acknowledge Him

Lord, it is you that I find

At the end of the rainbow.

You are worth so much more,

Than any pot of Gold.

The riches that you give me,

Are more that I will ever see.

I am already rich beyond my dreams.

My Christianity is busting at the seams.

I want everybody,

To have what I have.

They need to come to your place.

I want everybody to have Your saving grace.

That place can be anywhere.

Open the bible and read.

Pray to the heavens

Acknowledge him and your there

We praise You God almighty

From the mountains to the sea

Everywhere you want to be.

It is you that we want to see.

Lord, I pray that you will rescue me.

From the grasp of Satan's hand

Read your scripture

Apply it and make it stand.

To tackle life's problems.

Use scripture as your sword

When you apply the scripture

That is how you listen to the Lord.

He teaches through his word.

The bible is where it is heard.

Such an important book.

Live life to its fullest, take a look.

Trust
Have
you thought about the sacrifice?
That
was made back in the day.
It
was his death on the timber.
An
act we will always remember.

His
death changed us forever.
What
He did was inconceivable.
God's
care for us . . . . . . Unbelievable.
We
will not forget . . . . . never.

Could
you die?
So
some one else could live.
Such
a tall order to fill
You
could do this if it is God's will.

His
love is unconditional
It
matters not who you are.
Learn
to trust Him,
And
away goes your sin.

Nothing
matches the glory of our Father.
Or
the sacrifice He made.
So
we could come to know Him,
Even
as we live in sin.

Jesus
says, "Come to me
And
I will give you rest."
Only
Jesus knows what is best.
He
is the truth, and the way, that's easy to see.

So
come to me with your shame,
Come
to me with your pain.
I am
the one, who comforts,
As
your tears fall like the rain.

Your
heart is broken and torn from the inside.
You
look to me with no more pride.
You
have nothing left but your broken heart.
You
think all is lost and everything has fallen apart.

Behold
I heal all wounds.
And
I start with the heart.
With
that we will never be apart.
My
healing will give you a new start.

It
is time to die to yourself.
Make
the sacrifice to live the new life.
I
will listen and answer when you pray.
Trust me; I will not lead you astray.

I want more

God sent us a Savior

Some did not know this before

He gave his life, to save us

His name is our Lord, Jesus.

Lord when I hurt

It is your word

That keeps me alert

Your word keeps me alive.

When I come to You

You listen to me

I am on my knees

I am so desperate.

I pray to your Son.

He is the only one.

I won't more of You Jesus

More of You for all of us.

You are there when I need You,

And when I do not.

You are my rock.

Your love is so true.

Jesus, We Love You

So we will better know you

Lord, sometimes we cannot help the way we think.

That really does stink.

You know what, that is okay.

Look to the clouds and pray.

Sometimes Lord, we cannot explain

The way we truly feel.

Sometimes we are in so much pain

Nothing seems real.

Everything You do God, is so calculated

So why does life sometimes feel so complicated.

He speaks to us in prayer that is how we communicate.

He always gives us something to contemplate.

The Lord instills in us confidence

The Lord in our lives is not a coincidence.

Sometimes it takes a crisis to get us out of our stalemate.

He tells us that whatever we do, please do not deviate.

The Lord is talking about our walk.

He says, "spread my word when you talk."

Some people will not listen, that is okay.

Those that do not listen get their names and pray.

I am Yours

Dear Lord,

Seeing is believing.

Your work is magical.

To see you work in my friends is my reward.

With you my Lord.

Not having you in my life is something I cannot afford

The more my relationship grows,

The more my heart wants to know

What you can give me

Is beyond anything I can imagine.

Doing your will is by your design.

When it is your will, everything is just fine.

It is great when God lets you know,

Especially when you are in a time of sorrow.

These are the times when he wants you to speak.

Usually this is when you feel weak.

Thank you Lord for letting me go.

To a place, I have never been before.

I feel your blessings all of the time.

I am yours and you are mine.

Out of the Darkness

In the darkness

You have no faith

You have no purpose

You are becoming intimidated.

In the darkness, you do not know where you are going.

You will feel alone.

Look to the Lord, Who is the light.

You will be able to live your life right.

When we are in control,

Our lives do not go so well.

Give your soul to Jesus Christ.

He is the Son of Man.

Jesus, replace my fear with joy and happiness.

Lord, you are in control of my life.

Now I have a purpose.

You saved me with your Holiness.

When you lay in bed,

Do you weep?

Or do you have peace,

And go right to sleep.

I know you are with me,

Everywhere I go.

I feel you in my heart,

This I know.

I can talk to You anytime,

During any part of the day.

Down the road, You hear me pray.

On my knees, You hear what I say.

How deep is your compassion for me?

I can feel it.

My heart trembles.

I love You so much my Majesty.

Lord, I lift up your name

Up to the Heavens.

The only place to lift it up too

You are awesome, we love you.

How is Your Walk Today?

How is your walk today?

Did you get up and pray?

Did you thank the Lord in everyway?

This is how you should start your day.

How is your walk today?

Did you ask for his will and happiness?

Did you ask for peace and serenity?

Or did you just ask for Forgiveness.

No matter what you ask for,

He is there to open the door.

Just like before.

Please, do not ignore.

How is your walk today?

Did you hear what the Lord had to say!

Or did you forget to pray.

You know that is not his way.

How is your walk to today?

So you did not pray.

That should make for a wonderful day.

Since you did not hear what God had to say.

When you are not walking.

Then you are ahead

Of the One who leads.

Slow down, wait for the King.

When you leave your walk.

You are still able to talk the talk.

That is not right.

Look to God, who is the light.

He will shine bright

Day or night,

You know that you need him.

Please Lord, forgive us of our sin.

So, how is your walk today?

My walk is good!

I try to live God's way,

Everywhere . . . . . Everyplace . . . . . Everyday!!!

Seek Him

You cannot go faster than the one who leads.

If you are in first,

Then it is not God's will.

Stay in first . . . . . . . headed for the worst

I cannot help but love you Lord.

Your presence in my heart is felt.

Your forgiveness is my reward.

I praise the cards I have been dealt.

Coming to the Lord is an ongoing process.

When I talk to You.

You have such finesse.

Show me Lord what you want me to do.

Seek him when you're mad

Seek him when you are wrong.

Seek him when you are sad.

Seek him when you feel strong.

It does not matter,

When you seek him.

He is always there, waiting.

To forgive you of your sin.

Sometimes it is hard to hear,

Because you are full of fear.

And when you do,

You might shed a tear.

No matter who you are.

Even if you are from a far,

No matter what you do.

The Lord still loves you.

Lord, I have my dreams

Lord, I have my dreams

I wasted so much time.

When I should have been making you mine.

I knew something was missing.

I occasionally would go to Church and hear the singing.

For so long I felt empty,

But could not explain.

Knew I was in pain.

Felt so insane

I had so much anger,

However, I did not know what to do.

I knew you were calling me.

You were not what I wanted to see.

Lord, You were so patient with me.

You waited: You knew I would open my eyes.

You waited: You knew I would open my heart.

You waited: I opened my eyes, my heart, what a start.

Thank you God, for waiting for me.

There are so many things I want to see.

Without you, I have no exsitance.

Please God, allow me to be persistent.

Lord, I have my dreams.

They can only be realized through You.

I look for You everywhere I go.

That is the only way I can grow.

You teach me everything.

You are my King.

You shed your blood for me,

And for that I am free.

Jesus I am so grateful that you know me.

You died for me on the tree.

I wear your cross, because You are in me.

The cross shows me that I am free.

The true meaning of Love

The True Meaning of love

Love is patient,

It is full of content and very confident.

It should be well meant,

Occasionally though, you will have an argument.

Love is kind,

Sometimes you may commit a crime.

We cannot change the past.

Oftentimes things can happen too fast.

Love does not envy,

It should have intention.

Love should not have resentment.

It should only be Heaven sent.

Love does not boast nor is it proud.

Be soft-spoken and not so loud.

Trust the Lord in what you say.

Get on your knees and pray every day.

Love is not self seeking or rude.

It is not something you should exclude.

Careful so it won't give you an attitude.

Love is capable of giving so much solitude

Love does not easily make you mad.

What you do with it sometimes makes you sad

That is just part of the emotion.

Sometimes love can cause a lot of commotion

Love rejoices in the truth.

Back to the days of our youth.

The truth in love can be fragile,

Be honest and it will be worth while

Love always protects and trusts

Although it is easy to let the eyes wander.

When in love you should not lust.

Just do not let your mind ponder.

Love always perseveres always hopes.

The Lord will not leave you on the ropes.

He may let you hang a while.

The Lord will always give you a smile

War with God

War with God,

This really spoke to me and I just wanted to share it with you because it is powerfull. The first sentence of this article just nailed me. It is sad when you know the right thing to do and don't do it. I believe that is called sin! Take it a step further, Rebellion. Lord I come to you right now and confess rebellion, I confess jealousy and Lord I ask that you take these from me or show me where they come from. I am ready for these things to be gone in my life. I am ready for your correction.

Amen

If the Lord puts me on your heart would you call and pray over me.

Thanks Kevin

I know the article below is long so if you want me to email you the document just let me know.

At War with God (James 4:4–10)

The root cause of every war, internal and external, is rebellion against God. At the beginning of Creation, you behold perfect harmony; but sin came into the world, and this led to conflict. Sin is lawlessness (1 John 3:4), and lawlessness is rebellion against God.

How does a believer declare war against God? By being friendly with God's enemies. James names three enemies that we must not fraternize with if we want to be at peace with God.

The world (v. 4). By the "world," James means, of course, human society apart from God. The whole system of things in this society of ours is anti-Christ and anti-God. Abraham was the friend of God (James 2:23); Lot was the friend of the world. Lot ended up in a war, and Abraham had to rescue him (Gen. 14).

A Christian gets involved with the world gradually, as I pointed out in chapter 4 of this study. First, there is "the friendship of the world" (James 4:4). This results in being "spotted" by the world (James 1:27) so that areas of our lives meet with the approval of the world. Friendship leads to loving the world (1 John 2:15–17), and this makes it easy to conform to the world (Rom. 12:2). The sad result is being condemned with the world (1 Cor. 11:32), our souls saved "yet as by fire" (1 Cor. 3:11–15).

Friendship with the world is compared to adultery. The believer is "married to Christ" (Rom. 7:4) and ought to be faithful to Him. The Jewish Christians who read this letter would understand this picture of "spiritual adultery" because the Prophets Ezekiel, Jeremiah, and Hosea used it when rebuking Judah for her sins (see Jer. 3:1–5; Ezek. 23; Hosea 1–2). By adopting the sinful ways of the other nations, and by worshiping their gods, the nation of Judah committed adultery against her God.

The world is the enemy of God, and whoever wills to be a friend of the world cannot be the friend of God. Neither can he be if he lives for the flesh, for this is the second enemy James named.

The flesh (vv. 1, 5). By "the flesh" is meant the old nature that we inherited from Adam, that is prone to sin. The flesh is not the body. The body is not sinful; the body is neutral. The Spirit may use the body to glorify God, or the flesh may use the body to serve sin. When a sinner yields to Christ, he receives a new nature within, but the old nature is neither removed nor reformed. For this reason, there is a battle within: "For the sinful nature desires what is contrary to the Spirit, and the Spirit what is contrary to the sinful nature. They are in conflict with each other so that you do not do what you want" (Gal. 5:17, niv). This is what James terms "your lusts that are in your members" (James 4:1).

Living for the flesh means grieving the Holy Spirit of God who lives in us. "Or do you think Scripture says without reason that the Spirit He caused to live in us longs jealously?" (James 4:5, niv, margin) Just as the world is the enemy of God the Father, so the flesh is the enemy of God the Holy Spirit. There is a holy, loving jealousy that a husband and wife have over each other, and rightly so. The Spirit within jealously guards our relationship to God, and the Spirit is grieved when we sin against God's love.

Living to please the old nature means to declare war against God. "The carnal mind is enmity against God" (Rom. 8:7). To allow the flesh to control the mind is to lose the blessing of fellowship with God. Abraham had a spiritual mind; he walked with God and enjoyed peace. Lot had a carnal mind; he disobeyed God and experienced war. "For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace" (Rom. 8:6).

The devil (vv. 6–7). The world is in conflict with the Father; the flesh fights against the Holy Spirit; and the devil opposes the Son of God. Pride is Satan's great sin, and it is one of his chief weapons in his warfare against the saint and the Saviour. God wants us to be humble; Satan wants us to be proud. "Ye shall be as God," Satan promised Eve, and she believed him. A new Christian must not be put into places of spiritual leadership "lest being lifted up with pride he fall into the condemnation of the devil" (1 Tim. 3:6).

God wants us to depend on His grace ("But He giveth more grace"), while the devil wants us to depend on ourselves. Satan is the author of all "do-it-yourself" spiritual enterprises. He enjoys inflating the ego and encouraging the believer to do it his own way. In spite of Jesus' warnings about Satan's plans, Peter fell into the snare, pulled out his sword, and tried to accomplish God's will in his own way. What a mess he made of things!

One of the problems in our churches today is that we have too many celebrities and not enough servants. Christian workers are promoted so much that there is very little place left for God's glory. Man has nothing to be proud of in himself. There dwells no good thing in us (Rom. 7:18); but when we trust Christ, He puts that "good thing" in us that makes us His children (2 Tim. 1:6, 14).

Here, then, are three enemies that want to turn us away from God: the world, the flesh, and the devil. These enemies are left over from our old life of sin (Eph. 2:1–3). Christ has delivered us from them, but they still attack us. How can we overcome them? How can we be the friends of God and the enemies of the world, the flesh, and the devil? James gives us three instructions to follow if we would enjoy peace instead of war.

Submit to God (v. 7). This word is a military term that means "get into your proper rank." When a buck private acts like the general, there is going to be trouble! Unconditional surrender is the only way to complete victory. If there is any area of the life kept back from God, there will always be battles. This explains why uncommitted Christians cannot live with themselves or with other people.

"Neither give place to the devil," cautions Paul in Ephesians 4:27. Satan needs a foothold in our lives if he is going to fight against God; and we give him that foothold. The way to resist the devil is to submit to God.

After King David committed adultery with Bathsheba, and killed her husband, he hid his sins for almost a year. There was war between him and God, and David had declared it. Read Psalms 32 and 51 to discover the high price David paid to be at war with God. When he finally submitted to God, David experienced peace and joy. This too he recorded in Psalms 32 and 51. Submission is an act of the will; it is saying, "Not my will but Thine be done."

Draw near to God (v. 8). How do we do this? By confessing our sins and asking for His cleansing. "Cleanse your hands, ye sinners; and purify your hearts, ye double-minded." The Greek word translated purify means "make chaste." This parallels the idea of "spiritual adultery" in James 4:4.

Dr. A.W. Tozer has a profound essay in one of his books, entitled, "Nearness Is Likeness." The more we are like God, the nearer we are to God. I may be sitting in my living room with my Siamese cat on my lap, and my wife may be twenty feet away in the kitchen; yet I am nearer to my wife than to the cat because the cat is unlike me. We have very little in common.

God graciously draws near to us when we deal with the sin in our lives that keeps Him at a distance. He will not share us with anyone else; He must have complete control. The double-minded Christian can never be close to God. Again, Abraham and Lot come to mind. Abraham "drew near" and talked to God about Sodom (Gen. 18:23ff), while Lot moved into Sodom and lost the blessing of God.

Humble yourselves before God (vv. 9–10). It is possible to submit outwardly and yet not be humbled inwardly. God hates the sin of pride (Prov. 6:16–17), and He will chasten the proud believer until he is humbled. We have a tendency to treat sin too lightly, even to laugh about it ("let your laughter be turned into mourning"). But sin is serious, and one mark of true humility is facing the seriousness of sin and dealing with our disobedience. "A broken and a contrite heart, O God, Thou wilt not despise" (Ps. 51:17).

Sometimes we hear a believer pray, "O Lord, humble me!" That is a dangerous thing to pray. Far better that we humble ourselves before God, confess our sins, weep over them, and turn from them. "To this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at My Word" (Isa. 66:2). "The Lord is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit" (Ps. 34:18).

If we obey these three instructions, then God will draw near, cleanse us, and forgive us; and the wars will cease! We will not be at war with God, so we will not be at war with ourselves. This means we will not be at war with others. "And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance forever" (Isa. 32:17).

Put the government of your life on His shoulders, and let Him become the Prince of Peace in your life (Isa. 9:6).

Arms So Wide

Lord, You took me by surprise.

You took me by the hand.

You made me understand.

There is nothing to being a rightousous man.

You can live your life true

All we have to do is look to You.

God all you do is wait for me.

Direct me to where you want me to be.

I know you are on my side.

No matter what I did or tried.

Thank you for opening your arms so wide.

Know longer do I have to worry about my pride.

Lord, you have always been there

In addition, you always gave me a choice.

All I had to do,

Was listen to your voice

The Power of Prayer

Dear Lord,

Let your love shower down on me.

Your face is what I want to see.

Lord, my faith is so strong.

I feel I can do no wrong.

Nobody is perfect, but that is okay,

    Everybody does not pray.

    They have their own way,

    That is okay.

    Some listen to praise music.

    Some sing praise music.

    Some write.

    Some just pray.

    Our God is awesome.

He hears us no matter where we pray.

Everybody has his or her own say.

God hears us anyway.

God I listen to You,

With all of my heart.

With all of my love.

I worship you!

You lift my soul to the Heavens.

You give me my own wings.

You allow me to sing.

Lord, You have my dream.

Many years ago,

You did the same for us.

You have always let people grow.

You sent us Jesus.

Lord, You are so Holy.

We can never say too much.

With your tender touch

You heal the broken heart.

Lord, You are the First wonder of the world.

Nothing can compare,

To the greatness that we share.

So powerful is the power of prayer.

Mercy and Grace

Sometimes my heart feels so displaced

My faith feels like it has gone away.

All I can do is get on my knees and pray.

God, I just ask for your Mercy and Grace.

Lord, it is you that I look too.

I raise my hands to praise You.

I reach to the Heavens and sing.

The Heavens declare You the King.

Lord, I breathe You in.

Take away my sin.

I look to You for peace.

It only comes from him.

Your faithfulness is so true.

I only look to You.

Your arms surround me.

You are the power, this I see.

So many times, we want it our way.

God says, "you must pray,

And I will help you in my time.

Have faith, everything will be fine."

Do not rush your life,

You are not going anywhere.

If you leave,

You will be with me.

Lord, when I reach out,

Your presence makes me want to shout.

I tell everybody I can about You.

I know now, that is what I am to do.

I will witness and I will be true.

Everybody needs to know you.

If they do not.

I will keep trying, that is what I will do.

I will only do this for You.

O'Lord, I exalt You

Lord, I give you all of my praise.

Your word is the only thing that is true.

Know the Sacrifice

Behind the tattered robe,

Is the greatest story ever told.

What He did for man,

Some people will never understand.

Those that do,

Know the Sacrifice.

Your blood dripped from the Cross.

It will never be lost.

It is captured forever.

Through the end of time.

It will wash the sin away.

No longer will we be held at bay.

"Lord why have you forsaken me?"

"My Son, it is meant to be.

We must cleanse the Earth of sin."

"My Son, sacrifice your self, it is time to check in."

His cries were heard through out the Land.

His death allows us to make a stand.

Glory to the man who saves us.

Glory to our Lord Jesus.

Never could I imagine the suffering.

The Pain that You felt

The blood running into your eyes,

It crushes my heart . . . . . . . makes me cry.

Looking to the Heavens

You were so helpless.

Knowing you were going to die.

Yet, you did not fight back.

You were on the cross

Your spirit not broken.

Your Father has spoken.

"You are not lost."

"My Son, come be with me.

That is the prophecy.

That is what is meant to be,

You will be my legacy."

The Pendulum of Time

The Pendulum of time cuts both ways.

No one is exempt from this.

When two people split that is not God's plan.

Divorce is tough on every woman and every man.

God is strong and he gives me a way out.

God is so powerful, he has so much clout.

I know he will see me through my stress.

He will rise and take me from the darkness.

God is the light.

Listen to him and everything will be alright.

Sometimes you have to be in pain before you grow.

God has shown me . . . . . this I know.

I am in constant training with my walk with God

When I praise him, he gives me a nod.

The bible is my training book.

I keep it with me when I need a look.

When I hurt or just need advice.

Read in the bible more than twice.

So much wisdom is in this book.

It never matters where I look.
