Chpt 7: Broken Wings

Broken wings

 

Lord, my crippled wings

Were broken for so long.

It seems that,

Everything I did was so wrong.

 

You stood there waiting,

In addition, You let me stumble.

Sometimes I just flat took a tumble.

And that is how You allowed me to be humble.

 

So many days.

So many years.

Even a couple of decades.

I just lived in fear.

 

Not having God in my life,

Was nothing but a heartbreak.

Nothing but a major mistake.

So many times I felt like a fake.

 

If you sinned long ago,

Or today or yesterday.

Jesus is here to help you grow.

Just ask him when you pray.

Chpt 7 Answers

Answers

 

 

Sometimes I feel,

That You are not listening.

I ask questions.

I get no answers.

 

But You give me answers,

And I do not even know it.

It could be staring me right in the face,

And it is the beauty of your Saving Grace.

 

Sometimes Your answers are so subtle

They do not even deserve a rebuttal.

Your answers are always true.

I might not like them, but they come from You

 

It is my choice,

Even though the words came from your voice

If I do not want to accept what You say

Many times, that might happen, that is why I pray

 

I must be strong.

It is Your will.

Give God your obedience.

Pray with confidence.

Jesus the Healer

 

Jesus, healer of the heart

The wisest Man

Your name is so Holy

So easy to understand.

Send Your angels

Chpt 6: Wait for Me

"Wait for Me"

 

If you love something set it free.

Sometimes that is not what we see.

They say if it comes back it is meant to be.

Our Lord says, "Wait For Me."

 

God has always been here some of us did not know.

Often times he puts on a spectacular show.

The lightning comes and he lets the wind blow.

He makes the grass green, ocean blue and the trees grow.

 

So often we look to the sky

Many times we ask the Lord why?

He answers us in his own perfect way.

And no longer are we held at bay.

 

Some times you look down and wonder.

Many times that is when we hear the thunder.

Sometimes in the darkness we see the light.

That is when we know the future is bright.

 

I ask you children look no further look to me.

I am everywhere so follow me, don't you see?

I am in your dreams, soul and in your heart.

Follow me and never be apart. Mark: 1-17

 

He let the towers fall and that wasn't fair

God sees the World's despair.

He pulls us together and unites us all.

The world is one and we stand tall!

 

We live by faith and the word.

That is what the Lord say's that is what I have heard.

Being in the word is such a great thing.

It gives me so many reasons to praise you and sing.

 

Every where I look or stand

I see trouble through out the land

The terrorist came and the city came down

We all looked for answers but got nothing but a frown.

 

Let me be there in your time of need

Always look to me to sow the good seed

Look to me as I spread my wings.

I am the Almighty King of all Kings.

Chpt 6: What a Precious Moment

What a Precious Moment

 

Sitting in the dark

All by myself.

Nobody but You Lord,

Nothing but abundant wealth.

 

So quiet

So peaceful.

What a precious moment, so tranquil

Could I ask for anything else?

 

Everyday, I look forward to our time alone.

This is when I feel You are mine.

You are my stability, my cornerstone.

I know after we talk everything will be fine.

 

Lord You talk to me.

When I cannot hear.

Your voice soothes me,

It takes away my fear

 

Lord, You touch my heart.

Is there anything else a person could want?

Is there anything else I could do for You?

I will give You all of my love, this is true.

 

My prayer time is over.

I can see your awesome sunrise.

There is nothing on this Earth that You would compromise.

Lord, You leave me breathless, totally mesmerized.

 

Your sunrises are so beautiful

The colors are so magical.

The beauty You have created mystifies me.

You created it all, for everyone to see.

Chpt 6: When I am there

When I am There

 

God, I feel the warmth

Of Your embrace.

I feel your hands

Touch my face.

 

So soft, yet so firm

Someday Lord, it will be my turn.

I will walk with you.

Up past where the sky is blue.

 

To the Heavens,

Where you stuck the stars.

When we come to see You,

It is really not that far.

 

When I am there,

Will I have wings?

Will I get to go anywhere?

Will I get to sing?

 

God, grant me peace.

Give me truth.

I ask You in prayer.

I does not matter where.

 

My favorite place to pray

Is at the cross.

It is a long walk where I go,

This is where I go to grow.

Chpt 6: Your word is Faithful

Your Word is Faithful

 

Lord take the fire

From my heart.

Without You, I tire

Without You, I fall apart.

 

One day, we will see You.

What an awesome feeling.

Your word is helpful.

Your word is faithful.

 

Without You, we are nothing.

Without You, we have no truth.

Without you, we have no peace.

Without You, we spend all of our time running.

 

Live in the moment,

Not in the past.

Do not live your life so fast

God's word is not easily spent.

 

One day at a time,

Give your life to Him.

Ask for forgiveness

Please Lord take away our sin.

 

If we do not have the Lord in our mind.

Then we are just wasting our time.

This is not how we should live.

We should spread the word and give.
